Wooh, Belgian specialist in office furnishings and well-being at work, decided to virtualize its IT infrastructure and to take the step to the cloud. In order to do so, they trusted in Cloud2be for the provisioning, the support and the maintenance of their infrastructure. A large part of the migration services were also managed by EASI.
This change was part of a moving operation for Wooh to their new offices in Nivelles.
The employees of the company now have access to their IT-tools on the Cloud2be platform, managed by EASI. The following tools now run on Cloud2be:
all essential desktop applications (Email, Office tools, PDF readers, internet access, etc)
their specialized business applications
file sharing services
Some services (for example graphical works) are kept local because of bandwidth and file size reasons.
The feeling of the users after the move to Cloud2be is very positive : the access to the services is fluent and their way of working has (almost) not changed after the move. In some cases, they even didn't notice the change of the platform at all!
An important point in a move to the cloud is the transition phase: does this process runs smoothly, without interruption of the services or other events that could be annoying for the end users? Also, right after the migration, will there be sufficient support services?
The experiences of Wooh have been positive, also in this last part of the operation. EASI put in place all necessary means and a strong organization for a smooth move to Cloud2be, respecting important deadlines and within the previously announced costs. The downtimes for the end users have been grouped during moments without any impact on the daily work.
